Decorative Wall Finishesin Queens

Queens gives us the widest range of buildings in the city: 1930s Tudors with deep plaster reveals, mid-century co-ops, and glass towers with floor-to-ceiling glazing. Each one gets a different sheen level so the finish reads correctly under its own light.

In LIC's high-glass apartments we usually pull the sheen down, since a polished plaster in flat daylight can look hard. In the older houses we do the opposite and build depth back into walls that have been painted over for decades.
