Pier 57 Restaurants | Chelsea
High-impact plaster walls for a restaurant setting, built in successive passes until the surface reads as solid stone.
The walls function as a backdrop for the dining experience, so depth mattered more than colour: they needed to catch light without flaring.
Seven decorative plaster passes were laid, each thinner than the last, with the final two compressed hot under a steel trowel.
The result holds a genuine stone depth at grazing angles while staying calm and even under restaurant lighting.
